Living room of the Cardiff Bay Victorian House, with a bay window and period fireplace

A Guesture launch · Cardiff Bay · September 2026

The Cardiff Bay Victorian House

How we launched a three-bedroom Victorian house in Cardiff Bay for its owner, and what we can do for yours.

The brief

A family home in Cardiff Bay, ready for its first guests

In September 2026 an owner asked us to bring their Victorian house in Cardiff Bay to market as a short-term let. The house already had character in every room: a bay-window living room, a range-cooker kitchen, a private garden. It needed a launch that did it justice: professional photography that shows the rooms as they feel, a listing written room by room, a brand of its own, and the systems behind it to welcome guests properly from the first night.

Butetown, Cardiff Bay · Victorian terrace · Three bedrooms · Sleeps five · Launched September 2026

What we did for this house

  • Full listing copy, with an SEO title

  • 20 photos captioned room by room

Step two

Price it and open the doors

  • A price analysis and a competitor analysis

  • Dynamic pricing set up with Beyond Pricing

  • Launch on Airbnb, plus 22 more channels through Rentals United

  • Marriott Homes & Villas set-up started

Step three

Give it a brand and a welcome

  • Its own property logo and its own branding in Duve

  • A personalised, branded guest area with a 15-card digital guide

  • Personalised online check-in forms

  • Saved guest replies for the questions every stay brings

  • An on-street parking registration process

Step four

Tell its story

  • A Local Connections shortlist of 14 nearby businesses

  • A three-month social content plan, with its own Instagram account planned

  • Blog content

Its brand: a simple Cardiff Bay wordmark in sage green, carried through its guest area and a 15-card digital guide that runs from parking and Wi-Fi to bins, dogs and a local guide.

The location

The quiet side of Cardiff Bay

The house sits on a residential street in Butetown, close to the waterfront without being part of its bustle. We walked every route ourselves before writing a single distance into the listing.

Five minutes

Mermaid Quay and the Wales Millennium Centre, on foot

Ten minutes

Cardiff Bay station, on foot

Twenty minutes

Principality Stadium, the city centre and Cardiff Central, on foot

One minute

The Taff Trail cycle path, from the door

Station and city-centre times are approximate.

Finding the angle

The Taff Trail is a minute from the front door: a traffic-free riverside route north to Bute Park and Cardiff Castle, and south to the Barrage. We made it one of the listing’s selling points, written for guests who arrive with bikes. Every house has an angle like this, and finding it is part of the launch.

What we can do for yours

The same launch, for your property

Everything above is what we do for every property we take on. If you own a home in South Wales, Bristol or Bath, there are two ways to work with us: full management, or a launch package if you would rather host it yourself.

For every property

  • Its own property logo and branding in Duve

  • A personalised, branded guest area with a digital guest guide

  • Personalised online check-in forms

  • Saved guest replies, and processes such as parking registration

  • A Local Connections shortlist of nearby businesses

  • A social content plan, and blog content

With full management, we add ongoing guest communication, housekeeping coordination and monthly owner reporting. In Wales, that includes registering your property on the new visitor accommodation register and getting ready for the Cardiff Visitor Levy.

Branding we’ve created

A brand for every property

Each property gets its own logo and a branded guest area. A few we have designed for homes we manage or have managed:

Logo concepts: three directions for this house

These are concepts, not the logo used at launch: three directions we might explore for a house like this one, to show how we approach a brand.

Logo concept A, The Address: a Nº 9 Tidewater Terrace address plate (fictional address)

A · The Address

Logo concept B, The Seal: a Tidewater Terrace ring seal with a TT monogram (fictional address)

B · The Seal

Logo concept C, The Hallway Tile: a Victorian hallway tile beside a Tidewater Terrace wordmark (fictional address)

C · The Hallway Tile

Nº 9 Tidewater Terrace is a fictional address used as a design device.

Two ways to work with us

Full management, or a launch package

Full management

We run the property for you: everything in the launch, then ongoing guest communication, housekeeping coordination and monthly owner reporting.

Launch package

For hosts who manage their own property but want the launch done for them. Tell us about your property and we will suggest what its launch should include.
