Where are Guesture's homes?

We look after 13 homes. In Cardiff, six are in Pontcanna, on Cathedral Road and Ryder Street, with 5B Senghennydd Road in Cathays and 8 West View in Taff's Well. In Newport: Riverfront Apartment by the River Usk, Crescent Apartments in the city centre (three one-bedroom flats, each bookable on its own), The M4 Escape by junction 26 of the M4, and Woodland View, a four-bedroom house. In Cwmbran: 25 Ellwood Path.

Which home suits a family or a group?

Woodland View in Newport, a four-bedroom house with two bathrooms and a garden, sleeps up to eight. In Cardiff, The Pontcanna Pearl has three bedrooms and sleeps five, and The Loft, The Pontcanna Emerald, The Pontcanna Sapphire and 8 West View each sleep four. In Newport, Riverfront Apartment has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and sleeps four. Tell us who is coming and we will suggest the right home.

How do I book a stay?

Choose your home and dates on our Book your stay page and pay securely online, or call our team on 029 2120 0119. You will also find our homes on sites such as Airbnb, Booking.com and Vrbo, but booking with us directly gets our best rate and puts you in touch with our team before you arrive.

Is it cheaper to book direct?

Yes. Booking direct on the Guesture website is usually up to 30% cheaper than the online travel agents, because there's no booking-site commission. You also deal with our own local team from your first message to check-out.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard and most other major cards, and direct bookings are paid securely through Stripe. We don't accept American Express. The security deposit needs a credit card.

Is there a security deposit?

Most stays include a security deposit, taken during online check-in as a pre-authorisation on a credit card. It is a hold, not a charge, and it is released after your stay if no extra charges apply.

What is your cancellation policy?

For bookings made directly on guesture.co.uk, you get a full refund if you cancel at least 30 days before check-in; cancellations within 30 days of arrival are normally non-refundable. Bookings made through Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo or another site follow that site's terms, and a few homes have their own policy, so check the terms shown when you book.

Arriving and staying

Check-in and your stay

How does check-in work?

Check-in is online and contact-free, from 3pm, and every home has self check-in, so you can arrive at any hour after that. After you book, we email you a link to online check-in, where you add your ID and a card for the security deposit and agree to our terms. Your access codes arrive on the day of arrival, and your home's own online guest area holds directions, the house guide and local tips.

Can I check in early?

Book direct and early check-in is free whenever your home is ready. To guarantee an early time, add guaranteed early check-in for £25 when the home is free that morning.

What is included in every home?

Every Guesture home has a fully equipped kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, a smart TV, a hairdryer and an iron, hotel-quality linen and towels, toiletries, self check-in and somewhere to work. Bills are included, and each home has its own online guest area with local recommendations.

How are the homes cleaned?

Every home is cleaned after every stay to a hotel checklist, made up with fresh linen and towels from our laundry partner, and checked before you arrive.

What if something goes wrong during my stay?

Message us through your guest area chat or WhatsApp, or call us. In an emergency, even late at night, call us twice in quick succession to trigger emergency mode, so your call is answered promptly.

What do you do with my ID and personal details?

We ask for ID at online check-in so that we know who is staying in our homes. Guesture is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ZA638801), and we handle your details securely, in line with UK data protection law and our privacy policy.

Parking and pets

Is there parking?

The Regency Studio, The Suite and The Loft at 82 Cathedral Road have private secure parking. The Pontcanna Emerald, Riverfront Apartment, The M4 Escape and Woodland View have parking, and at 5B Senghennydd Road we arrange permit parking. Each home's page explains the arrangement.

Can I bring my dog or other pets?

Yes, on request. Woodland View in Newport welcomes pets, and some of our other homes can take them too. The pet fee is £10 per pet, per night, to cover the extra cleaning after your stay. A few homes can't take pets because of building rules, so tell us before you book and we will suggest the right one.

Work and longer stays

Longer stays and work trips

Do you offer weekly and monthly rates?

Weekly stays are up to 25% off and apply automatically when you choose seven nights or more. For 28 nights or longer, ask for our set monthly rates: up to 45% off, with all bills included.

Are your homes suitable for work trips, contractors and relocations?

Yes. Business travellers, contractors and relocating professionals stay with us for a week or several months, and every home has fast Wi-Fi, a full kitchen and somewhere to work. The M4 Escape is under a minute's drive from junction 26 of the M4. Staying near the Royal Gwent? See our homes near the hospital. For project teams and relocations, we will put the right homes together, with one point of contact and invoicing to your organisation, and we also take bookings through corporate travel agents.

Letting your home

For property owners

Can Guesture manage my property?

Yes, if it suits short stays. We take on homes anywhere in Cardiff, Newport and Cwmbran, and Bristol homes by arrangement, as well as larger properties, hotels and aparthotels. Tell us about your home and Pedro or a member of the team will call you back to arrange a visit: call Pedro on 07787 048216 or see Host with Guesture.

How much does management cost?

Distribution Only is 12%, Full Management 15% and Hyper Exposure 20% of the gross booking value, each plus VAT, and cleaning is charged at the cleaner's rate. Onboarding is free: we hold back £1,000 from your first income and pay it back monthly over the 12-month minimum term. The notice period is 90 days. Our fee is a share of what your home earns, so we don't guarantee occupancy or income.

Fees and terms in full: Host with Guesture

What does Guesture do for every home it manages?

Every home gets a price and competitor analysis, listing descriptions and photo captions, blog and social content, its own logo and branding, and its own online check-in form and online guest area. Guesture owns the photos it commissions. With Full Management, we also price your home every day, look after guests day and night, and handle the Wales register and the Cardiff levy.
