Taff's Well
A newly refurbished two-bedroom apartment where Cardiff meets the Taff valley. Hills from the window, and the city centre a short train ride away.
The city one way, the valley the other. Taffs Well station is in the village, with around six trains an hour into Cardiff; the quickest reach Queen Street in 11 minutes. Turn the other way and you are on the Taff Trail, which runs through this part of the village, with Castell Coch and the Garth above you.
Refurbished throughout. A new kitchen with a gas hob and a breakfast bar, a bathroom with a full-size bath and rainfall shower, and a panelled wall behind the double bed. An oak sliding door, a corner sofa and a smart TV in the living room. Designed for comfort, whether you stay two nights or four weeks.
Hosted by Guesture. Online check-in and a key box, so you arrive in your own time. A digital guest guide with our local recommendations, hotel-standard linen and towels, and a Cardiff team on hand throughout your stay.

The kitchen
U-shaped, with a four-ring gas hob, oven, extractor, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster, plus crockery, glasses and cutlery. Meals are at the breakfast bar. There's a washing machine; no dishwasher or tumble dryer.

Living room & bedrooms
A corner sofa, a smart TV and a wide window over the trees to the hills. Bedroom 1 has a double bed against a panelled wall; Bedroom 2 has a king-size bed. The bathroom has a full-size bath with a rainfall shower.
Taff's Well is where Cardiff ends and the valley begins. The village has Wales's only thermal spring, in Taff's Well Park, and the Garth above it inspired the 1995 film The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill But Came Down a Mountain. Match days, hospital visits, work weeks and trail weekends all work from here.
Taffs Well station is in the village: Cardiff Queen Street from 11 minutes, Cardiff Central and the Principality Stadium about 20. The Taff Trail runs through this part of the village, Castell Coch is about 35 minutes on foot, and junction 32 of the M4 is about 2 miles away.

Questions guests ask
How do I check in?
Check in online in your guest area before you arrive: ID, the deposit pre-authorisation and the house rules. Your key box code is then sent to you automatically. Check-in is from 3pm and check-out by 10am.
How do I get into Cardiff?
By train from Taffs Well station, with around six departures an hour. The quickest reach Cardiff Queen Street in 11 minutes; Cardiff Central, next to the Principality Stadium, takes about 20.
Is it a good base for a match weekend?
Yes. Take the train in for the match and come back to a quiet village rather than the city centre. Some event weekends have a three-night minimum.
Can four adults stay comfortably?
Bedroom 1 has a double bed. Bedroom 2 has a king-size bed, so two couples each have a room of their own.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, up to two pets. Please tell us when you book.
Do you take longer stays?
Yes, up to 28 nights, and stays of a week or more are discounted. The apartment suits hospital visits, work placements and relocations.
Is there a deposit?
We take a card pre-authorisation during online check-in and release it after your stay. Nothing is charged unless something is damaged.
