A bright one-bedroom flat in Cathays, Cardiff's university quarter, about nine minutes' walk from the shops on Queen Street. A calm, practical base for a few nights or a few weeks in the city.
Who it suits. Parents visiting students, academics and conference guests at Cardiff University, contractors working in the city and couples on a Cardiff break. Cathays station is a seven-minute walk, with trains to Queen Street, Cardiff Central and the Valleys.
Inside the flat. A separate double bedroom, a living room with a smart TV and fast Wi-Fi, and a fully equipped kitchen with a dining table. Two more guests? The sofa bed can be made up on request, so the flat sleeps up to four.

Living room & bedroom
The living room has a sofa, a smart TV and fast Wi-Fi, with plenty of natural light. The bedroom is separate, with a double bed on a quality mattress and Egyptian cotton linen. For a third and fourth guest, we make up the sofa bed on request; an extra-guest charge applies.
Senghennydd Road sits at the city-centre end of Cathays, among Cardiff University's buildings. On foot, the Students' Union is about 4 minutes away, Cathays station 7, the National Museum 8, Queen Street 9, and City Hall and the university's Main Building about 10. Cardiff Castle is about 15 minutes away.
Sainsbury's on Queen Street and Lidl on Maindy Road are each under ten minutes' walk, and the University Hospital of Wales is about 3km away, a short taxi ride. There's no private parking; we can arrange on-street visitor parking if you send your registration before you arrive.

How do I check in?
Complete online check-in in your guest area before arrival: ID, the deposit pre-authorisation and our house rules. Your access details then arrive automatically. Check-in is from 3pm and check-out by 11am.
Can I walk to the city centre?
Yes. Queen Street is about nine minutes on foot and Cardiff Castle about fifteen. Cathays station, seven minutes away, has trains to Queen Street and Cardiff Central.
Can I park?
There's no private parking, but we can register your car for on-street visitor parking. Send us the registration before you arrive, and park once we've confirmed it's active.
Can four guests stay?
Two sleep in the double bedroom. For a third and fourth guest, we make up the sofa bed in the living room on request; the extra-guest charge shows when you choose your dates.
Do you take longer stays?
Yes. With the university on the doorstep and a dedicated workspace, it suits placements, research visits and relocations. For stays of a month or more, speak with our team.
Is there a deposit?
We take a card pre-authorisation during online check-in and release it after your stay. Nothing is charged unless something is damaged.
